Catherine joined Five Oaks Academy in 2008 and began teaching in 2003. She serves as an Upper Elementary Directress and is MAP Testing Coordinator. She attended Lander University and received a Master of Education in Montessori Education. She also attended Clemson University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She holds an AMS 6-9 certification in Lower Elementary from Lander University and a South Carolina Teaching Certificate. She is pursuing an AMS 9-12 Upper Elementary Certification from the Montessori Teacher Training Institute (MTTI) in Clemson, South Carolina. She is affiliated with South Carolina Montessori Alliance (SCMA) and the American Montessori Society (AMS). Catherine has presented at AMS National Convention and SCMA conferences. Catherine previously taught in the public traditional and Montessori programs of Laurens District 55. Catherine is a member of the Curriculum Council.
