Matt joined Five Oaks Academy in 2011 and began teaching in 2010.  He serves as a Middle School Director and Physical Education Instructor. He attended Southern Wesleyan University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Administration. He is pursuing an AMI Montessori Certification in Orientation to Adolescent Studies through the North American Montessori Association (NAMTA). He is affiliated with South Carolina Montessori Alliance (SCMA) and the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).  Matt previously taught with Zest Quest, a nutritional and wellness program through the South Carolina Public Schools; Matt also acted as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, Central America and is a member of the Curriculum Council.
