Visiting family members receive lessons from their students, learn more about the classroom environment, and enjoy time with their children.<\/p>\n<h2>April<\/h2>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1289\" src=\"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/wp-content\/uploads\/grandparent-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Community Wide Grandparent Celebration\" width=\"203\" height=\"270\" \/><\/strong><strong>Grandparents Day:<\/strong> Grandparents Day is a PTO-sponsored event that invites grandparents into the classroom and gives them a special opportunity to bond with their grandchildren\u2019s school community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Earth Day (Students Only):<\/strong> Earth Day is a school-wide student event that celebrates our planet, honors its natural resources, and investigates ways to better our world. During the Earth Day celebration the students gather to share songs and reflect on the gifts and beauty of our planet.<\/p>\n<h2>May<\/h2>\n<p><strong>World&#8217;s Fair &amp; Student Art Show (formerly known as the International Festival):<\/strong> The World&#8217;s Fair is held in May and honors diversity and cultures from around the world. The World&#8217;s Fair also incorporates the Annual Student Art Show and classroom STEAM projects.\u00a0 Five Oaks families are invited to dress in traditional attire from a country of their choosing. The festival includes student artwork, classroom STEAM projects, student performances, crafts, and guest artists. The International Festival also highlights our three-year continent study.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1287\" src=\"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/wp-content\/uploads\/graduations-300x297.jpg\" alt=\"Community Wide Montessori Graduation Celebration\" width=\"240\" height=\"238\" \/><\/strong><strong>Graduations:<\/strong> Whether it\u2019s the Kindergarten Bridging Ceremony, Lower Elementary Peace Ceremony, Sixth grade Commencement, or Middle School Graduation, graduations are a very special part of the Five Oaks Academy Experience.
