Every year, and at every\u00a0program level,\u00a0our school emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community. At the school level, and in conjunction with South Carolina Montessori Alliance (SCMA), Five Oaks Academy participates in drives\u00a0collecting pop tabs for\u00a0Ronald McDonald House and money for Wells of Love.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1279 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/wp-content\/uploads\/communityservice2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Students Work Together On Larger Community Service Projects\" width=\"270\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a>The <a title=\"ronald mcdonald house\" href=\"http:\/\/rmhc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ronald McDonald House<\/a>\u00a0program provides a \u201chome-away-from-home\u201d for families of children with critical illness. Families who stay at Ronald McDonald houses\u00a0have easy access to medical facilities where their children are\u00a0receiving treatment and are also allowed to enjoy comforts of home such as\u00a0home-cooked meals, private bedrooms, and playrooms for siblings.\u00a0 Five Oaks Academy collects can tabs as donations to this program.\u00a0\u00a0These can tabs from soup, soda, and other\u00a0and aluminum cans are recycled by Ronald McDonald partners to provide funds for their programs.\u00a0Even though\u00a0the whole aluminum can is valuable, the tab is much cleaner and easier to collect in large quantities than whole cans.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1278 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/wp-content\/uploads\/communtiyservice-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Student Lead Fundraisers Support Community Organizations\" width=\"270\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a>Wells of\u00a0Love \u00a0is the another community service project supported by Five Oaks Academy.\u00a0\u00a0 <a title=\"Amman Imman\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ammanimman.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amman Imman: Water is Life<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Established in\u00a02006, Amman Imman\u00a0supplies permanent sources of water in the Azawak of West Africa to save and improve the lives of the people living there.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Wells of Love is the service learning program of Amman Imman: Water is Life. Its mission is to empower students as Heroes of Compassion &#8211; future leaders with a caring, philanthropic spirit &#8211; by engaging them to help bring water and hope to the 500,000 people of the Azawak of West Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Amman Imman Website<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition to our work with Ronald McDonald House and Wells of Love, Five Oaks Academy participates\u00a0in many community service projects every year.
