Student Explores Nature At Five Oaks AcademyThe moment you pass the columns of the stately administration building and pull into the landscaped parking area, one can’t help but notice that a distinguishing aspect of Five Oaks Academy is the facility and environment itself. The school is nestled on ten acres of woods and pasture in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The existing 100-year old farmhouse has been fully renovated and now houses the school administration offices, Toddler classroom, Technology Center, Middle School meeting areas and kitchen for practical life extensions. It also serves as a place to host regular events such as teas, open houses, parent and teacher meetings, and more. The adjoining carriage house has been converted into the Middle School classroom. Additionally, we have two 4,000 square-foot buildings that house a total of four classrooms. These classrooms are state of the art facilities with plenty of room for children, supplies, and activities.

Student At Peace In A Natural EnvironmentThe outdoor environment at Five Oaks Academy is a natural extension of our learning in the classroom. Incorporated into the overall design is an organic vegetable garden, produce stand, greenhouse, nature trail, fruit trees, picnic areas, flower beds, and a labyrinth. The facilty also includes two professionally designed playgrounds, one for the toddler community and one designed for our kindergarten and elementary students. Adjacent to the kindergarten & elementary playground is a pasture that has been converted to be used as a soccer/play field. The Five Oaks Academy campus also includes is a half-mile nature trail that winds through the woods and with a creek and an outdoor classroom area.
