Nature Trail

The Five Oaks Academy Nature Trail winds slowly through the woods of our campus. With two entryways, the students and faculty can walk along and enjoy the time outdoors as a community. Through these walks, children learn again how to function as a community: negotiating leaders, followers, stopping points, communication systems, and sharing discoveries. Observation is a tremendous part of the nature trail walks, and discovery is the sweet reward of walking, looking, and sharing new things. The trail winds through local flora and offers a four season view of our immediate natural surroundings.
