Catalina Bolaños joined Five Oaks Academy in January 2024 as the Lower Elementary Spanish Directress and expanded her role to include Primary Spanish in 2025. Originally from San José, Costa Rica, she brings a passion for language, culture, and global learning to her classroom. Having traveled extensively and experienced diverse cultures firsthand, Catalina enjoys sharing her experiences and fostering cultural awareness through Spanish language instruction.

Catalina is the proud mother of three children, two of whom currently attend Five Oaks Academy. She believes that language learning should be engaging, meaningful, and joyful, and she incorporates songs, stories, movement, games, and cultural traditions into her lessons.

Catalina is dedicated to helping students build confidence in Spanish while nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for world cultures. She is honored to share her Costa Rican heritage and inspire a love of language in her students each day.
