Rachel Siglin brings a uniquely interdisciplinary lens to her role at Five Oaks Academy. While specializing in leading the music program for the past five years, she has also taught Middle School Geography, US History, and World History. She currently serves as the debate coach and mentors students in the 8th Grade Legacy program. She holds a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and has over 20 years of experience in private instruction. Her commitment to a rich, integrated curriculum is shown by her participation in the Carnegie Hall Summer Music Educator’s Workshop, her education from the Harvard Civic Learning Institute, and her ongoing studies with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. A certified Musikgarten educator, she founded Upstate Musikgarten in 2020 to bring families together for outdoor music classes.
