
Catherine joined Five Oaks Academy in 2008 and began teaching in 2003. She serves as a Lower Elementary Directress and the Lower Elementary Curriculum Coordinator. She attended Lander University and received a Master of Education in Montessori Education. She also attended Clemson University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and has a South Carolina Teaching Certificate. She holds an AMS 6-9 certification in Lower Elementary from Lander University and an AMS 9-12 Upper Elementary Certification from the Montessori Teacher Training Institute (MTTI) in Clemson, South Carolina. Catherine has presented at the AMS National Convention and SCMA conferences. Catherine previously taught in the public traditional and Montessori programs of Laurens District 55. Catherine has three children; a son who currently attends the Primary program at FOA, a daughter who will be in the Pre-Primary class of 2020, and a stepson who is in high school. She is affiliated with the South Carolina Montessori Alliance (SCMA) and the American Montessori Society (AMS). Catherine is a member of the Curriculum Council
