Lena began working at Five Oaks Academy in 2025 as a Pre-Primary Assistant Directress. Prior to this, she was a Specialist Teacher in Germany, teaching students from grades 1 to 9 in special needs schools. Lena utilizes open learning formats and hands-on methodologies to make new content accessible.

She trained as a dietician at Alice Bendix Vocational School in Munich and furthered her education as a specialist teacher in home economics, nutrition, crafts, and design, with an extension in sports. Lena is currently pursuing her Montessori Diploma at the North American Montessori Center (NAMC). She is dedicated to fostering creativity and believes in using self-designed materials and everyday items for artistic expression. It is important to her to introduce the concept of sustainability to children in an age-appropriate manner, cultivating an awareness of our environment and responsibility within a Montessori framework.
